Events Bring Big Fun To Laughlin

The Las Vegas Convention and Visitors Authority (LVCVA) works throughout the year to bolster tourism to Laughlin, and in 2017, it resulted in more than 1.9 million visitors to our destination. As part of that effort, the LVCVA supports large-scale events that come to Laughlin, including Rockets Over the River, the Laughlin River Regatta, SNORE McKenzie’s Rage at the River, the Laughlin River Run (known as the largest motorcycle rally in the West), and more.

This past November, Spartan hosted its race in Laughlin for the first time, and debuted its Para Spartan adaptive race. The race included more than 20 signature obstacles with chances for cash prizes. The Spartan Kids World Championship was also held during the same weekend, alongside the adult race.

In addition to the many events that are held in Laughlin each year, the LVCVA also supports concerts by world-class entertainers, and this year will be no different. In 2019, Tim McGraw is also scheduled to perform on Feb. 23, while the Zac Brown Band is scheduled for March 16.

In addition to events, the LVCVA provides a wealth of information for travelers, including complimentary brochures, maps, and travel guides for Laughlin, the state of Nevada, and the surrounding area. The sales office staff works to attract new visitors, groups, and meetings to Laughlin by exhibiting at travel shows, hosting clients in the destination for first-hand experiences, conducting presentations and sales calls in feeder market cities, and meeting potential clients at travel industry conventions.

The Laughlin Visitors Center is funded by a portion of the hotel room tax collected in Clark County, the LVCVA also provides advertising, marketing, research, and public relations support for Laughlin.
